Mardi Himal Trek 9-Day Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be received by our guide or driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in Thamel.
A perfect day to rest, explore Thamel, and prepare mentally for your adventure ahead.
Day 2: Kathmandu To Pokhara
You will be received by our team member after you have your early breakfast.
The drive will be approximately seven to eight hours, where you will pass through hills, a river, and a majestic village.
Note: while coming through the bus, you may face some issues due to the ongoing construction of the Prithivi highway. You can also take a flight to Pokhara.
Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Dhampus, then Trek to Deurali
Drive Duration:2 hours
Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
Your trek will begin after a short drive to Dhampus. Before commencing your trek, you will have lunch at Dhampus, where you can find welcoming people.
You will be starting your hike through charming Gurung villages and rhododendron forests.
After 3 to 4 hours of trek, you will reach Deurali by late afternoon, where the mountain air feels crisp and the views begin to stun.
Day 4: Deurali-Forest Camp
Trek Duration:5-6 hours
After spending a wonderful night at Deurali, we will start our journey ahead towards the forest camp.
During this journey, your eyes will be able to experience glimpses of wildlife like leopards, deer, monkeys, and different bird species.
Accommodation will be done at Forest Camp.
Day 5:Forest Camp-High camp
Trek Duration: 5 hours
After spending an amazing night at a forest camp, we will start our journey to reach the high camp. In the middle of the journey, we will have our lunch and continue our journey until we reach our destination.
After walking for a few hours, we will be able to witness Annapurna South. We will be continuing our walk until we reach High Camp.
During the journey, we will be able to experience an amazing view of Mardi and Seti Khola, and if you are lucky enough, during clear weather, we will also be able to witness the Pokhara Valley.
Day 6:High Camp-Mardi Base Camp - low camp
Trek Duration:7-8 hours
Wake up early, around 3 at High Camp, to witness the most beautiful sunrise views of the Himalayan range from Mardi Himal View Point. Journey of Mardi trial continues by climbing upward through the narrow path to reach Mardi Himal Base Camp.
Through Mardi Base Camp, we will be able to see, feel, and witness the sunlight on Annapurna South.
After spending a few hours admiring the natural Mountains, we will be returning to high camp. Have our lunch and continue our journey to the low camp.
We will be spending our night at Low Camp for Day 6.
Day 7: Low camp – Jhinu Danda
Trek Duration: 7 hours
We will start our day with a light breakfast and start our trekking journey down by carrying a bag, heart, and head full of memories, where you walk for 7-8 hours.
In the afternoon, we will reach Jhinu Danda, which is highly populated by the Gurung culture and tradition, and you can experience various foods and cultures by exploring the Gurung community.
Note: The natural hot springs are located beside the Modi River. Highly recommended to experience the natural hot spring, which will help you heal from the long Trek.
Day 8:Jhinu Danda - Pokhara
The last day of our Mardi Himal trek starts with an amazing sunrise view from Jhinu Dada and a local, authentic, amazing breakfast. We will wrap up our trek with the final descent and drive back to Pokhara.
Day 9:Pokhara To Kathmandu
Drive to Kathmandu.
Check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring Thamel, a famous tourist area.
Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu
You’ll be transferred to the airport according to your flight schedule.
