A lot of hikers think this is the best spot to see Mount Everest. Even Sir Edmund Hillary, a famous mountain climber, said it was his favorite place to enjoy Everest.
The name Pikey comes from a local Sherpa god who represents the sky and nature.
The Pikey Peak Trek is a new hiking path in the Khumbu area. It lets you get really close to Everest and see the lower Khumbu area with its amazing landscapes. The view of the sunrises and sunsets over the big mountains is so amazing that you'll remember it for your whole life. Besides the great views of the Himalayas, you can also explore the unique geography and the life there. The special Sherpa culture and their friendly ways are very interesting. Since it's a new trek, it's not crowded, and you can enjoy a quieter experience.
The 7-day Pikey Peak Trek Plan is made to lower the risk of feeling sick from high altitudes by not going up too fast. The Pikey Peak path is full of green forests with rhododendron, oak, and pine trees. You'll walk through lots of villages on top of ridges with fields on the sides.
From Pikey Peak, you'll see big mountains like Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga to the far west. The places where you can stay, called tea houses, are simple and have basic things.
The Pikey Peak Trek is good for anyone who wants to see the Himalayan peaks and the local way of life in just a few days.
